National Service Scheme

The college has one unit of NSS. The National Service Scheme is a community service programme with objectives of arousing social conscience in students. It provides them an opportunity to work among people. Student volunteers work compassionately, constructively and creatively to mitigate the problems of the society. The NSS volunteers keep themselves engaged throughout the year in the accomplishment of various tasks ranging from the beautification, cleanliness, awareness and plantation drives and blood donation camps. Besides, the NSS volunteers show active participation in various camps including State Mega Camp, National Youth Convention, National Youth Festival, National Integration Camp (NIC), etc.

NSS Annual Seven Days Special Camp was organised in the college w.e.f. February 20, 2018 to February 12, 2018, where the main focus was laid upon the campus beautification, cleanliness, awareness campaigns and anti-polythene and plantation drives. The volunteers planted rose saplings in the college campus. During the special camp, the volunteers involved in the extension activities in the community, cleaned the bowries (water sources) at Bhayal and Nayara, cleaned the campus at Mamleshwar Temple, Annapurna Temple and conducted a survey on the usage of polythene by the people and sensitized people about anti-polythene drive and Swachhta Abhiyaan. The NSS, NCC and Rangers and Rovers Units of the college took an awareness rally about the Swachhta Abhiyaan. Various guest-lectures were held to update the volunteers about First-Aid, Disaster Management and Personality Development during the evening sessions. A mock-drill on disaster management was organised in the college by National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in which about thirty NSS volunteers also participated in the mock-drill.
