Disaster Management Cell

"Disaster Management Cell” Government College Karsog was established in 2010.The main aim of the Cell is to prepare youth to handle any disaster / any extraordinary situation in society such as earthquake, fire, flood etc. By this the institution tries to inculcate the spirit to work voluntarily in adverse conditions in society. The cell focuses on a systematic approach to manage the responsibilities of disaster prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery. Many activities for training are conducted in or outside campus from time to time by the cell to train youth.

Aims and Objectives

• To create awareness among students about disaster management.
• To prepare youth in institution to face such situations with cool mind and calmnes.
• To organize safety awareness activities.
• To provide training to volunteers for disaster management.
• To motivate students to do voluntary Blood donation from time to time.

Few main activities include :

• The cell plays a vital role in organizing mock drills in institutions for students to handle situations like Earthquake, Fire safety etc. with the help of local administration or authorities or NDRF through administration etc.
• Training of Youth for First Aid Course in Civil Hospital Karsog.
• Training of Youth in Fire Station for handling fire incidents, victim care and management of situation on site etc.
• Training of youth to participate more in “Blood donation camps” in college and in society as extension programme.
