Extension Activities

The college organizes several community outreach programmes to sensitize the students about social issues for their holistic development. To promote these community outreach programmes, the institution has established various units, clubs and societies such as National Cadet Corps, National Service Scheme, Rover & Ranger, Dramatic Club, Road Safety Club, Red Ribbon Club, etc.

National Cadet Corps

The institution represents the Message of ‘Unity & Discipline’ through the unit. The unit run various activities in the community such as: Tree Plantation, Awareness rallies, Voting Awareness, Community awareness on Health and Fitness, Cleanliness, Service rendered in Panchayati Raj Election, 7 days Service rendered in Hospital during covid-19 Pandemic etc. with the aim to sensitize the students as well as serving the current needs of community. The unit provides the platforms for its cadets to participate in national and state level special camps to develop leadership qualities, team work spirit etc.

Rover & Ranger

The unit actively engaged its students in the community outreach programmes during the last five years. These activities include: Blood Donation, Plantation Drive, Services at Civil Hospital Karsog, under the programme ‘Anorectal Screening and Ksharsutra for five days, Multi Speciality Medical Camp for Three Days and also 56 Days services during Covid 19 Pandemic, Shramdaan, Cleaning of water resources (Bodies) in village ‘Kahani Mandela', etc. Besides these activities, other awareness activities are also run to spread awareness in many matters to serve society. These activities put a positive impact on the student’s skills as well as on society.

National Service Scheme

The unit is running with its motto ‘Not me But You' in the campus to inspire everyone to come to serve the community voluntarily. The unit inspires its volunteers to participate for the welfare of society in many ways. It includes many regular activities, camps, awareness rallies, road shows in society. In last five years, to promote the holistic development of the students these activities are centered such as successful hosting of State Level Mega Camp, participation in NIC and in RD Parade, Blood Donation Camp, Anti-Drug Awareness Drive, Fight against Corona, Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Shramdaan, Swachhta Abhiyaan, Health Check Up Camp, Veterinary Guidance Camp, Residential Camps in adopted village, etc. The volunteers get an opportunity to adapt themselves with new social skills through these activities.

Dramatic Club

The young actors of the college are groomed through a One-Month Theatre workshop where they learn the basic nuances of theater. The Dramatic Club presented plays, Nukkad Natak on social issues. The dramatic club presentations on the story of Munshi Prem Chand named ‘Bade Bhai Sahab', play based on Greek Mythology named ‘Judgement of Paris’ and ‘Celebration of Munshi PremChand Jyanti’ were some special performances.

Red Ribbon Club

The club arranges awareness rallies, camps, competitions regarding HIV AIDS, Blood Donation etc.

Road Safety Club

Recently the college established ‘Road Safety Club’ to recognize the need of road safety awareness programs in the society. The club runs several road safety campaigns.

J.S Boss Society, Eco Club and Women Cell are also playing their role to sensitize the youth with social issues.

During the Corona Pandemic, NSS, NCC and R&R have played outstanding roles to serve the community.
