Karsog, July 1, 2026: Government College Karsog organized an Induction Programme for the newly admitted students of B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com. First Semester for the Academic Session 2026–27 on1st July 2026. The programme aimed to familiarize students with the college environment, academic regulations, and the opportunities available under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the newly admitted students by the college administration and faculty members. Students were introduced to the vision and mission of the institution, academic facilities, library services, co-curricular activities, examination system, student support services, and various clubs and societies functioning in the college.

A major focus of the induction programme was the National Education Policy(NEP) 2020 and its implementation in undergraduate education. The resourcepersons explained the key features of NEP, including the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP), the multiple entry and exit system, the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), interdisciplinary learning, skill enhancement, value-added courses, and flexible curriculum choices. Students were also informed about the various course components such as Discipline Specific Courses (DSC), Discipline Specific Electives (DSE), Multidisciplinary Courses (MDC), Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC), Ability Enhancement Courses(AEC), Value Added Courses (VAC), and Major/Minor options.

Road Safety Club of Govt. College Karsog celebrated Triveni in which Dr Gulshan Mahajan, the principal was the chief guest. Dr kulbhushan Sharma graced the occasion by making his presence felt in this function. The main purpose of the function was to spread awareness of road norms.

'Road Safety Club' of Govt College Karsog organized a rally in main bazaar Karsog making the people aware about road safety norms . Prof. Pankaj Gupta , Incharge of JC Bose Society laid emphasis on the importance of science in today's world by remembering our great scientist, Dr. C.V. Raman. Dr. Gulshan Mahajan, Principal-in- charge was the chief guest and he gave the prizes to the winners in activities conducted by JC Bose society of the college. 

NSS Unit of Govt. College Karsog organized a seven day camp from 17 to 23 December, 2022. The main objective of the camp was to explore talent among the students. Dr. Birbal Singh and Prof. Sonia Chaudhary welcomed Dr. Gulshan Mahajan, Principal in the opening ceremony. Many dignitaries like Ms. Geetanjali Thakur, DSP and a few advocates graced the occasion during the course of time. Dr. Kulbhushan Sharma, made his presence felt in the closing ceremony. 

The Department of Political Science in Govt. College Karsog organized a special program on Cyber Crime and Constitution. Advocate Baljinder was the chief guest and he delivered a speech on cyber crime. Ms. Sonia Chaudhary, Assistant Professor gave a vote of thanks at the end of this programme.

Govt. College Karsog celebrated its Annual Prize Distribution Function on 30th March, 2022. Sh. Heera Lal, M.L.A of Karsog, was the chief guest of the function, gracing the occasion with his inspiring address. He gave away the prizes to the meritorious students. Dr. Gulshan Mahajan, principal-in-charge read out the Annual Report of the college and Dr. Yamuna Sharma proposed vote of thanks in the closure of the function. Certainly, it was one of successful Annual functions. 

The college celebrated 'World Theatre Day' on 28th, 2022. The main purpose of this function was to bring out the talent of the students. 

The Red Ribbon Club, in the college, celebrated 'World AIDS Day' on 1st December, 2021. It aimed at making the students aware of the HIV and AIDS and suggested preventive measures to avoid it . 

The college celebrated 'National Science Day Function' organized by J. C Bose Society on 28th February, 2022. The main focus of the function was to acquaint the students with those scientists who contributed a lot to the development of our nation. 

 Road Safety Club function was organized in the college on 28 February, 2022. It focused on how to develop students' cognitive skills. 

In the college, a lecture on 'Stock Market'was organized by Commerce Society on 15 December, 2021. Its chief aim was to spread awareness among the students on formulation of policies for easy transactions and the safety of the investors. 

The college celebrated 'Triveni', a joint cultural function of NSS, NCC and R&R  organized by Road Safety Club. It aimed at inculcating moral and cultural values among the students. 

The NSS unit of the college organized a 'Seven Day Special Camp' w. e. f. 13th to 19th February, 2022. The significant objective of the camp was to develop multiple skills among the students emphasizing on their all round development. 

The Department of English in the college organized a workshop entitled 'Grammar Workshop: Teach and Reach" from 6th to 10th December, 2021. The main purpose of the workshop was to equip the students with rules of English grammar. 

Literary Society in the college organized a  seminar on 'Remembering Rabindra Nath Tagore, a Nobel Laureate' for under graduate and post graduate students. The objective of the seminar was to make the students familiar with the achievements of Guru Rabindra Nath Tagore.
