Induction Programme for First-YearStudents Organized at Government College Karsog
Karsog, July 1, 2026: Government College Karsog organized an Induction Programme for the newly admitted students of B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com. First Semester for the Academic Session 2026–27 on1st July 2026. The programme aimed to familiarize students with the college environment, academic regulations, and the opportunities available under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the newly admitted students by the college administration and faculty members. Students were introduced to the vision and mission of the institution, academic facilities, library services, co-curricular activities, examination system, student support services, and various clubs and societies functioning in the college.
A major focus of the induction programme was the National Education Policy(NEP) 2020 and its implementation in undergraduate education. The resourcepersons explained the key features of NEP, including the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP), the multiple entry and exit system, the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), interdisciplinary learning, skill enhancement, value-added courses, and flexible curriculum choices. Students were also informed about the various course components such as Discipline Specific Courses (DSC), Discipline Specific Electives (DSE), Multidisciplinary Courses (MDC), Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC), Ability Enhancement Courses(AEC), Value Added Courses (VAC), and Major/Minor options.
