Anti-Ragging and Grievance Redressal Cell

As per the instructions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, UGC New Delhi and the Department of Higher Education, Government of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla, the college has an active Anti-Ragging and Grievance Redressal Cell which is duly notified in the college prospectus at the beginning of every academic session. The laws/rules pertaining to ragging and punishment thereof are also published in the college prospectus. The same is also displayed prominently in the college campus for the information of one and all. Due undertaking is obtained from the students as well as their parent/guardian at the time of admission to the effect that they will abstain from ragging in any form and are liable to be punished in case of any breach in this regard. No episode of ragging has been observed or reported in and around the college campus so far.

Women Cell

A Women Cell is functional in the college campus to take care of various issues pertaining to the girl students studying in the college as well as its women staff. The cell undertakes various activities to promote gender equity in the campus and to create an amiable atmosphere for the personal and academic growth of women. Essay Writing, Paper Reading, Slogan Writing, Poster Making and other competitions are organized on regular basis towards this end. The women staff and girl students of the college are given adequate representation on all academic and administrative committees as well as in sports, cultural and other co-curricular activities. A gender champion has also been appointed in the college at the behest of the National Commission for Women, New Delhi to accentuate the activities of the Women Cell.

Career Counseling Cell

The Career Counseling Cell of the college undertakes a host of activities in the benefit of the students. These include providing detailed information and counseling about the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), choice of subjects of study therein, filling up of online examination forms along with focused and periodical information about various avenues of higher education and professional opportunities available to the students in their subjects of study.
